One issue is that Link/OffsetPos currently parses to Pos. Perhaps this will need to change to something like Ptr : Type -> Type. deref will also affect the order in which offsets will need to be parsed 🤔

Yes, it will need to immediately return some kind of handle that can later be passed to deref which can:

  1. check the offset table and see if it's already been parsed (use the value)
  2. is in the process of being parsed (abort)
  3. must be parsed (trigger parsing).
