Could you give more explanation for the 'Arrays of structs' section? Not really following 🤔
from fathom.
Syntax where arrays are written as type[length] have a similar issue where anonymous structs lead to awkward definitions like this:
struct {
... many many fields ...
}[length] // wait what
It can be handy to allow the length up the front as a special case like this:
struct[length] {
... many many fields ...
}

Kind of feel in that case one should split it out into a sub-definition. Alas, we need value-dependent types for that advice to be useful in the general case, however.

Reasonable! And we'll need value-dependent types anyway, so yeah.
