I prefer keeping it off-site because it doesn't worth the effort. There are probably one or two people in community who are interested in 1.0 pre-release versions... Creating GitHub repo is easy and safe for the purpose.
I'll handle these additional resources page.

- performance — redirect to front page till benchmark is conducted.
- contact — I’d prefer all core team members get these emails. Is there a good way to do it w/o creating a situation when each member is replying to the same email?
- demos — redirect to front page till demos are done.
- logo — I’ll handle it.
- resources — should be part of yiicamp.
- forum — I guess it stays as is.

just leave all recipients in the mail header visible so you can do a reply all.

Yeah, makes sense.

the links for performance and demos instead of redirecting (will require explaining on the forum as every newcommers will ask whats with those links) could be grayed out or even not shown until they are done.
for the contact, is there a posibility to create a mailing list? this way if the mailing list address is "[email protected]" every time someone send an email to that address all core members (members of the mailiing list) gets the email... so if any member responds to the request it's enough to put again that email in CC so other members can see that he answered the request.

I mean these should not be anywhere in menus till it's done. URL redirect serves as a place reservation mainly.

A mail list as such would be perfect.

Anyone has experience about it?

I'm member of different mailing lists but never administered one... not sure how they are managed... from whjat I know those that I participate are managed on windows server...

I have a mailserver and also know how to set up a mailing list software. Currently none in use though.

OK, would be great to to have it. Today I was asked if we have a mail list to discuss marketing stuff such as when people are going to conferences and speaking about Yii and want to get info from devs about how to present it in the best possible way.
from yiiframework.com.
if we have one, we can add even more very easily, so that would be possible.

I took the liberty of removing the 'about' page because there already is a page about Yii in the Guide.
The navbar points to that page in the guide instead.
If that is acceptable, then a redirect is needed.

Redirects are handled in code.

there are files under http://www.yiiframework.com/files/ e.g. http://www.yiiframework.com/files/CHANGELOG-1.1.16.txt
from yiiframework.com.
I don't think we need old changelogs.

Maybe for history it worth archiving and keeping in a backup somewhere.

I've re-checked everything from original list. Most of pages are now in place or redirect to appropriate replacements. What's left:
http://www.yiiframework.com/community
Not sure what to do with it. We have a good list here but even if we'll do the same at the website, it's not clear from where to link to it.
Archive / history
I'd not put any of that at the website. Instead, it worth creating yiisoft/history
at GitHub and pushing historical stuff there.
Markdown help
Is it used anywhere?

why?
Markdown help
probably not needed, there are a lot of resource on markdown on the web.

could be an additional point in the "Community" nav dropdown, e.g. "External/Other resources" or something like that.
