The use case is valid, but i'm worried about changes in common/confog/bootstap.php
I think we should fix the bug with CSS only.
@yiisoft/core-developers what do you think?

I don't remember the exact details, but I think that this option might work

Then could you please update your PR? I suggest the selector should be .grid-view th.

the reason for this rule was to avoid that the column sort icon ends up in the second row while the rest of the title is in the first row.
