Not enough info provided to have any idea. I would recommend that you go through all of the install info, step-by-step and make sure nothing was missed. Also reboot the BackupVM to make sure all bugs are cleared. I no longer use oVirt and no longer am able to support this project.

This began after the migration from SelfHostedEngine to bare metal server.

simpleBackup was never tested on a Bare Metal install. So the oVirtEngine is running on bare metal and the simpleBackup is still running as a VM?

Did you update the UUID for the VirtualEngine in the simpleBackup Settings?

Not sure. The message you posted says "Invalid UUID" so something somewhere is either mis-configured or for some reason the bare metal Engine works differently. I have no oVirt environments to work with any more as I have moved all of my VMs to a hosted solution using VMWare. I would check with Squeakz in the IRC channel and see if he has any ideas of what may be different with the bare metal install. It is also possible it is an issue with newer versions of oVirt as I have not tested on anything newer than 4.2

I installed BackupEngine on a new virtual machine. Everything began to work as it should. oVirt 4.3.4, oVirtEngine on bare metal server. Thank you so much for your project, it has already rescued me more than once.

Glad you were able to get it working again ;)

I enjoyed this project and also enjoyed using oVirt. I only switched as it made financial sense to make the move based on many variables.
