Validation needs to include:

  • quick to render shaders (no sss...)
  • measure of focal length
  • measure of focus distance
  • contrast in both axis to validate abberations
  • clearly see bokeh shapes
  • be pretty

This will be necessary for the website previews.

  • Write script that loops through lenses, renders them and outputs them to correct image names

After the scrape I'll also need to write this as an extra step upon automatic lens creation

  • more "scientific" test image
  • add denoise? first try on an image before implementing
  • needs to fit design of website

all the code has been set up
now just need to install linux at home so I can batch run the renders
