Thanks, @kgtkr and @tirr-c , for reporting this. I'm not going to have time to investigate this for a while, unfortunately. I would be happy to review a PR if either of you have the bandwidth to put one together.

I've tracked down the source of the problem. I'll put out a bugfix when I get the chance. If anyone would like to work on it sooner, please comment here and I can post a detailed explanation.
