You can just mount a remote filesystem, e.g. sshfs, and just use micro to edit files on this filesystem like any other files. Micro doesn't need to be aware that it is a network filesystem.
Or you can use Git or some other version control system (that's how people usually share code, right?). Again, micro doesn't need to be aware.
