zappysplayground's Issues

No MSBuild.exe found at the specified paths.

After downloading, I dragged the Hub scene into the Hierarchy and tried the build process via "Build" - "HoloLens".
I get the following error:
No MSBuild.exe found at the specified paths.
MenuBuildHololens exception

Unity 2020.3.35f1

Thanks in advance for helping :-)

EDIT:
I connected the device portal in build settings and deployed it with visual studio. That worked.

About adding the locale of Japanese.

Thank you for providing this project.
This content is very useful we learn MRTK3 and UX designs, and also It's enjoying as the game.

So, I'd like to add my local Language(Japanese), and I translated the text contents of game in Japanese.

But there is a notice of below:
Japanese font don't provide from unity, so everyone want to use must create new japanese font themself.

  • Create Japanese Font(.SDF) from .ttc file using Font Creator Asset(Window > TextMeshPro > Font Creator Asset).

In addition, to build this project for Japanese,we need to set the below:

  • Open Edit > Project Settings, and set ja-JP to Default Language in Player > Publishing Settins > Misc

Window location choice is rather erratic using a HoloLens

Maybe it's just me and my weird Dutch 90's house, but when I try my home office using the HoloLens, the windows is placed inside a glass door cupboard filled with books and model airplanes, and inside the living room it's intent of placing it inside a walk-in closet. While there 2 solid walls to choose from in the home office, and three in the living. Suggestion: give they users the chance to suggest a wall themselves? It's kinda hard trying to position windmill while they must be partially placed between airplane models, whisky bottles, or frying oil cans :D. I managed to do it. I was glad the wife was out - she is kind of used to my weird HoloLens antics, but I guess this would even make her frown a little ;)

collisions only occur with floor and wall arPlane(s)

Just wanted to first mention this is an extremely well done sample/showcase. I've learned a considerable amount re OpenXR, MRTK3, etc. from it. Thanks!

I do not see the turbines colliding/landing on any arPlanes other than the floor.
Not sure if there is any relation but the eye gaze debug shows a number of arPlane None HorizontalUp messages.
There is also a NullRefException that seems to come shortly after a Kinematic body only supports Speculative Continuous collsion detection warning but again not sure if that is related and haven't looked further.

Appreciate any thoughts and thanks again.
