The easiest way to set up Visual Studio for the ultimate UWP development experience. Requires Visual Studio 2017 Update 8 or newer.

Extensions

After installing the UWP Essentials and restarting Visual Studio, the following extensions will be installed:

• Windows Template Studio
• Multilingual App Toolkit
• XAML Styler
• Console App (Universal) Project Templates
• CommandLine-Activated Windows App (Templates)
• Multi-Instance App Project Templates
• MVVMBasic Snippets
• Rapid XAML Toolkit

If you already have one or more of these extensions installed, UWP Essentials will not re-install them.

Not all of the above extensions are available for VS 2019, yet.

Suggest new extensions

For cloning and building this project yourself, make sure to install the Extensibility Tools extension for Visual Studio which enables some features used by this project.
