I'm afraid I don't see any errors.

Just to further elaborate, I've only tried this with a .phyb that is in the penumbra folder, not any base game stuff (though it's worked in the past loading penumbra files and updating them.)

I tested with base game .phyb and updating does work there.

To anyone who may be looking, I did find a work around. If you disable any .phyb mods, but load in the game's default phyb to be replaced from a penumbra file, you can see your changes reflected after hitting 'Update'

hmm....that's weird. if you get a chance, could you send me your dalamud.log on discord or a pastebin so I can take a look at it (with File > Settings > Debug Information turned on)?
