The table responsible for rendering all the torrent information (/torrents) doesn't handle loading large collections well (the browser has a few very long frames). Instead of adding elements for all the torrents in at once, add them in dynamically.

Create a sweet status dashboard that you could leave on your 50 inch screen. Something that looks like it came out of a movie showing:

• Transfer Speed (Download and Upload)
• Peering and Tracker Message Visualization (cycle between active torrents or show all torrents + peers in network)
• Show Peer Source Country Connections Bouncing Around the globe
• Active Torrents
• Show Disk Usage

There's lots of unnecessary logic involved to copy data from the wire format into something nicer to work with. This could probably be removed if we use interfaces and functions instead of copying everything into new objects.

It would be awesome to have modern torrent client that run smoothly over all platforms.
Surplus deluge client smells GTK too much, and that is not best smell ;)
