2024

• Solar Energy Automation based on ESPHome and Home Assistant.
  • ESPHome running on ESP32 is used for Monitoring and controlling multiple solar charge controllers and energy storage battery banks.
  • Home Assistant is an ideal framework for visualizing charge status, energy use and monitoring the health of my batteries.
  • Sohphisticated automation features enable optimized charge and discharge behavior, integrating multiple batteries and charge controllers into a single cohesive system.
• Building TUIs in Golang with bubbles and lipgloss.

2022-2023

• 🎮 Senior Engineer @ play.co working on cloud infrastructure and core game platform architecture.
• Built a solar power and energy-storage system for my home.
• Practiced hardware prototyping, designed a few custom printed circuit boards.

2021-2022

• ⚒️ Founding contributor to phorge.it, the community maintained fork of Phabricator.
• 📊 Honed my Data Visualization and Presentation skills.
• 🎛️ Playing with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
  • C++ and Micropython running on esp32, stm32 and RP2040.
• 🔧 Converted my Grizzly Milling Machine to CNC with LinuxCNC.

2014-2021

• 🔭 Maintaining Wikimedia's fork of Phabricator - My commits.
• 🚢 Deploying the software that powers Wikipedia @wikimedia/release-engineering.
  • Infrastructure configured and deployed with Puppet - My commits.
