This is my Node.js server that runs my apps. This is also my personal documentation for production environments. I provide official documentation on my website.

• Current API version: v1

• These files must be placed in the /cert folder (this folder will be on the root of the drive) on the host:

  • cert.pem - Preferably a full chain
  • key.pem
  • pass.txt - This holds the passkey to key.pem
  • encrypt.txt - This holds the key to encrypted items in the database

• These extra files must be placed in the ./config directory (in the project directory):

  • private.json - This holds certain credentials, like API keys

• Lastly, .env must be placed in the root of the project with these fields:

  • DEBUG: boolean
  • ANALYTICS: boolean
  • FEATURE_FLAGS: boolean
  • CONTACT: email for server reports
  • EMAIL: email for automated emails
  • EMAILPASS: password for the automated email
  • JWT_SECRET_KEY: a random string for the password authentication (this must be unique across all environments of the server)
  • HOME_HOST: host for home server
  • HOME_ACCESS_CODE: code for home server
