Web-based control and visualization for a bench power supply running OpenDPS.
Requires a Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Opera) for the Web Serial API.
A DPS-family supply flashed with OpenDPS exposes a serial protocol, but nothing to look at. This is a zero-installation web interface that talks to it directly from the browser: live readings, a scrolling chart you can annotate, energy totals, and a guided calibration routine.
The page is entirely static. The browser opens the serial port itself, so there is no backend, no build step and nothing to install.
Press Connect Device and pick the serial port your supply is reachable on.
The supply speaks TTL serial on its 4-pin header (GND, TX, RX, 3.3 V), so it needs something between it and USB. Either works:
| Setup | Notes |
|---|---|
| USB-TTL adapter | Simplest. Cross TX/RX, share ground, 3.3 V logic only. |
| Microcontroller acting as a bridge | Any board that forwards USB to UART transparently. |
