Muses Plugin is a Chrome-compatible browser extension for AI-assisted form filling.

The first version focuses on a controlled single-field workflow:

1. The user clicks or focuses an input field on a web page.
2. The extension shows an AI Fill action near the field.
3. The extension reads nearby page and table context.
4. An AI model infers the value that belongs in the focused field.
5. The extension writes the value into that field after the user confirms the action.

Build a Manifest V3 browser extension with:

• A content script for field detection, page-context collection, and value insertion.
• A background service worker for AI API calls.
• An options page for endpoint, model, and API key configuration.
• A local test page for manual extension testing.

Run automated tests:

npm test

Load the extension in Chrome:

1. Open chrome://extensions.
2. Enable Developer mode.
3. Click "Load unpacked".
4. Select this repository directory.

Configure the AI endpoint:

1. Open the extension details page.
2. Click "Extension options".
3. Enter an OpenAI-compatible chat completions endpoint, model, and API key.
4. Save the settings.

Open the fixture page in Chrome, focus a supported input, and click AI Fill.
