A Chrome extension that Summarize facebook Posts.
- ๐ Smart Post Detection: Automatically identifies Facebook posts using multiple selector strategies

- Download or clone this repository
- Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions/ - Enable "Developer mode" in the top right
- Click "Load unpacked" and select the extension folder
- The extension icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar
- Navigate to Facebook.com
- Click on the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar
- Paste your api key in the popup window
- Reload the facebook tab
- Press the summarize button to "summarize" any post and wait 5 to 10 seconds
- If generation is failed, press "summaraize" button again and wait 5 to 10 seconds
- This extension is for educational and research purposes only
- Always respect Facebook's Terms of Service and robots.txt
- Do not use this tool to violate privacy or scrape personal data without consent
- Be mindful of rate limiting and avoid excessive use of api key
- Consider the ethical implications of data collection
- Manifest Version: 3 (latest Chrome extension standard)
- Permissions:

- Host Permissions: Facebook domains only
- Architecture:
- Background script for persistence
- Content script for DOM manipulation
- Popup interface for user interaction
- Facebook frequently updates their DOM structure, which may break selectors
- Some posts may not be accessible due to privacy settings
- Rate limiting by Openrouter may prevent scraping large amounts of data
- The extension works best with public posts and pages
