README

jev-rules

Jev Fact enricher for Easy Rules: soft judgments in, hard MVEL rules fire.

TypeSafe System One (Jev) turns unstructured state into calibrated numbers; Easy Rules 4.1.0 then evaluates boolean MVEL conditions and runs actions. This project is the glue: it depends on Easy Rules from Maven Central.

What it does

  1. Load typed questions (questions.yaml: Noul / Choice / Score only).
  2. Call System One once (JevEnricher) and write flat facts (refund_requested, intent, intent_confidence, …) plus jev_ok.
  3. Fire Easy Rules from rules.yaml (MVEL). Soft rules gate on jev_ok.

What it does not do

  • Does not call Jev inside Condition.evaluate().
  • Does not generate text; System One is decision-only.
  • Does not wire to Python agents in this repo.

Build

Requires JDK 21+. Use the project Maven settings so resolution goes to Central (corporate mirrors may not have these artifacts):

export JAVA_HOME=/path/to/jdk-21
# Maven 3.6.3+ required (compiler plugin). Example:
export PATH=/path/to/apache-maven-3.9.x/bin:$PATH
mvn -s .mvn/settings.xml clean test
mvn -s .mvn/settings.xml -q exec:java # ticket demo (FakeJevClient if no key)

Set TYPESAFE_API_KEY to hit the real API from TicketLauncher.

Layout
