If you cannot access the Chrome Web Store, you can download the source code for manual installation:
- Download or clone the project to your local machine.
- Open Chrome browser and enter
chrome://extensions/to access the extensions management page. - Enable "Developer mode" in the upper right corner.
- Click "Load unpacked" and select the downloaded project folder.
- The extension will be added to the browser.
- Click the Smart Tab Manager icon in the browser toolbar to open the extension interface.
- In the settings page, you can customize the maximum number of tabs, tab timeout duration, and check interval.
- In the recently closed tabs page, you can view recently closed tabs and choose to restore them.
- The extension will automatically manage tabs based on your settings, and you can check the status of the current tabs at any time.
