React Ecommerce

A mobile-responsive ecommerce app built using Typescript React, Redux, Firebase and styling done via Sass. Support Email/Password + Google Sign-In. Add items to shopping cart and checkout securely via Stripe.

• Built the front-end interface using Typescript React, Redux (redux-thunk, reselect) and Sass (mobile-responsive).
• Integrated notifications using react-toastify for better user experience.
• Handled Stripe payment in the back-end using Express.js.

UOW Sculptures Admin Dashboard

Jul 2019 – Nov 2019

A multi-functional and comprehensive admin dashboard for UOWAC staff to manage data for the UOW Sculptures mobile app. The app was built using Next.js (SSR React), Ant Design and styled-components for frontend; Typescript Node.js, PostgreSQL, Auth0 (authentication) and AWS S3 (cloud storage) for backend.

• Built the front-end interface using Ant Design with support for data visualization components including various forms of charts.
• Implemented key functionalities including searching, sorting and pagination for managing users and sculptures data.
• Designed a customized datepicker solution to view system statistics in a specific time interval.
• Integrated mapping component for sculptures location using Mapbox.
• Used CI/CD for the development and deployment pipeline using ZEIT Now.

Roadside Assistance Application

Uber-like application for roadside assistance service, using React with Material-UI for frontend, and Typescript Node.js (Nest framework) with PostgreSQL for backend.

• Built the frontend user interface with React and Material UI components.
• Implemented a customized autocomplete dropdown component which renders realtime address suggestions using Google Maps Places API.
• Integrated data tables with expandable rows and support for pagination, searching and sorting for admin dashboard.

Event Booking System

A web application that simulates an event booking system for my university, using Node.js, Express.js and MongoDB. Staff accounts can create and manage events while student accounts are able to view upcoming events, book an event and proceed to checkout.

• Built the frontend interface using Bootstrap CSS which supports Responsive Design.
• Wrote test cases for database operations using MochaJS.
• Implemented user authentication and authorization for staff account and student account.
• Deployed a production version which uses gzip compression and server-side caching of minified static assets (JS and CSS).
