Greetings! I am Abd El-Twab MF, aka "amf". I was built at the Computers & Systems Engineering Department at Al-Azhar University. I began my journey learning Java in college, then transitioned to C++. I focused on Competitive Programming, which has honed my proficiency in C/C++ and given me a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms. While I've also worked with many other languages, I particularly enjoy working with Go, Shell, and LaTeX.

My hobbies and interests include GNU/Linux, cryptography, cybersecurity, and blockchain technology. Currently, I am focused on Computer Graphics, Operating Systems, and Compilers.

So shou can use simple "share location" of most apps to import position

Bug: Saving a remind do not save and show no error message

My best guess is that it's because of some hard dependencys to googleservices ... but since there are no loggs i cant tell for sure

Give the user more options to get notified if the goal is reached.

Add option to disable/enable a reminder in home page

Connect and disconnect network reminder

Besides geo location, another way and more private way would be to have a network connect and network disconnect reminder.

Lets say you leave home and your phone is now out of range of your home wifi network, by detecting that your no longer connected to home wifi could be used as a trigger for a reminder. No need to have location enabled!

These would be useful reminder options for when people go home or leave home.

[Bug] Alarm rings before arrival

The alarm has started ringing midway into the trip, I rebooted the device and sat the alarm again it started ringing instantly, not sure of the cause.
Let me know If I can provide any type of logging.

package renamed?

It seems with v0.6.4 the applicationId changed from org.abdeltwabmf.loc to xyz.abdeltwabmf.loc – which essentially means this is a different app. Thus "updates" to v0.6.4 are not possible; one has to uninstall and re-install, with all data/configuration lost. Was that intended, or did something go wrong here? Release notes do not mention a rename. The related commit can be found in #53, but it doesn't have any comments what it is supposed to "hotfix".

Note this also affects your listing in my repo as well as your inclusion request at F-Droid (see #1). If there's no strong reason, applicationId should not be changed once an app is public – it's more than a "cosmetic change", it has some implications as you see 😉

Store favorite places

It would be great if I can store my favorite places in a list.
So I can select it faster.

Certificate issue

A scan (see here for details and background) just revealed the APKs at your releases are signed using an expired debug key ("denyAfter 2019-01-01"). As that has security implications, may I ask you to please switch to a proper release key, and provide the corresponding APK signed with it? Thanks in advance!

Feature: Option to use OpenStreet as map

I have a lineageos and the map selection dont work.

So i suspect it is because googlemaps (gservices) are not present.

In this case it would be awesome tho use openstreet or at least detect and embed osmand ... etc
