tos-checker's Issues

HTML markup is displayed incorrectly

I'm assuming the text is being fetched from the tosdr.org site; it seems if there is HTML markup such as tags, the markup will be displayed literally.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to duckduckgo.com
  2. Click the A button

duckduckgo

Proposed solution:
Render HTML markup correctly.

Temporary proposed solution:
Parse the text first and strip HTML markup out. Be careful with meaningful markup such as superscripted number (to avoid turning 10³ to 103).

HTML in descriptions not parsed

Just began to use the add-on, seems to work quite well so far! Just one problem I noticed: HTML markup in the description of each field doesn't seem to be parsed and just display raw HTML, thus making the links impossible to click, for example. Here's a screenshot from the description of Facebook:

Compared to the "official" screenshot, text that should be in bold, for example, is just rendered surrounded with "<strong>" tags.

I'm using Firefox 14.0.1 on Linux Mint 13 (based on Ubuntu 12.04). The extension has been downloaded from Mozilla's addons website. I tried using a clean profile and the problem still appears, so it doesn't seem to be an incompatibility with another extension.

Links do not work

When the little window showing the ToS info is shown, it includes links such as "Discussion". Clicking these appears to do nothing.

Expected behavior is that a new tab is opened and pointed to that link.

Section headings say "undefined"

It appears that section headers are not being loaded correctly. They all say "undefined".

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install ToS;dr
  2. Go to www.dropbox.com
  3. Click the little question mark icon
  4. Observe incorrect captions
