BMI Calculator App

This is a simple BMI Calculator app built using React. It calculates the Body Mass Index (BMI) based on the user's weight and height and displays the corresponding BMI status.

How to Use

  1. Clone or download the repository to your local machine.

  2. Navigate to the project folder using the terminal or command prompt.

  3. Install the required dependencies using npm:

npm install
  1. Start the development server:
npm start
  1. Open your web browser and visit http://localhost:3000 to see the BMI Calculator app.

  2. Enter your weight (in kilograms) and height (in centimeters) in the input fields.

  3. Click the "Calculate BMI" button to calculate your BMI and see the result below.

BMI Categories

  • Underweight: BMI < 18.5
  • Normal weight: 18.5 ≤ BMI ≤ 24.9
  • Overweight: 25 ≤ BMI ≤ 29.9
  • Obesity: BMI ≥ 30

The BMI status will be displayed below the calculated BMI result and will be color-coded as follows:

  • Underweight: Red
  • Normal weight: Green
  • Overweight: Red
  • Obesity: Deep Red
