An extension might not be available or could be maliciously set to a valid value ( a script with .jpeg extension - for example )

Either way, scanbot should have a more robust way of inferring file type than the current reliance on file extension

Extension needs to get trimmed correctly, there is an extra .dp appearing in the files on staging.
Also check why some scans came rotated incorrectly.

Scanbot currently tries to detect qrcodes at whatever resolution the image has been
scanned at. Empirical evidence reveals that detection rates differ at different resolutions
and that the resizing of an image is done best by imagemagick convert. Owing to these
two facts, Scanbot is to be enhanced to attempt detection at multiple resolutions and to
transmit undetected images as-is so as to give the server end its best chance to detect
a qrcode before relegating it to a human user.
