As far as i do understand, this Backup only supports plain connections and sasl due to its use of ldapadd.
Neither ldapi via Socket nor SSL is supported.

So when switching to uri "ldaps://host:sslport", the result will be:
[INFO] Starting 389 directory backup
ldap_initialize( ldaps://host:sslport/??base )
ldap_sasl_bind(SIMPLE): Can't contact LDAP server (-1)
[DIE] Unable to create LDAP backup task entry

as i don't have sasl, but only tls available. First it looked like an error to me, but now i think its more about lack of functionality, which was not explained in the docs.

I would rather like to have support for TLS for this to work. would it be possible to get SSL supported with this nice Backup?
