Social links take you to another website about adicu.github.com-dep

this is one of the things i really don't like about syte, but that's just my opinion

i do agree that it's a little jarring that some of the links keep you on the site and some are external—maybe we should differentiate?

I think I do prefer it, but I think if it is more "standardized" on the web to have a social icon take you to that respective site, although it might not fit well with the sidebar thing we have going now. Maybe we should put it below all the menu items? Or below the logo.

yeah, icons might be the way to go here. plus, that way we don't draw attention away from our site with big buttons.

not sure where they'd look better, we can try both
but IMO icons are what we should do

Would it be better to just have a social button on the side that takes you to a page that lists all of our social things? Idk. The sidebar's getting cluttered and we still haven't added stuff like mailing list.

no, i think we should link directly and just make the social icons small. similar to what we have now.

What do you mean like what we have right now? Like on the adicu.com site? Or just make the buttons smaller? Because smaller buttons wouldn't be very aesthetically pleasing.
