as I see, you provide cups4j on github. That's okay for me, but you have changed the LICENSE file to MIT.
I don't think that you can do that. As far as I know, you can not just relicense code you have not created with another license. Especionally not without permission of the former creators.
Can you answer why you wanted to change from LGPL to MIT license?
