clicking on a link in rxvt opens mozilla even though chrome is defined in Xdefaults

ssh is using a single history. so, if a command is typed into one console, it will be pushed into the history of all other consoles. this means, if there is a sequence of commands i'm hoping to get back to, they will get pushed further into the history by working in other consoles.

vim complains there's "not enough room" when opened within a tmux split.

probably need to look at putting some logic for getting the window height into vimrc in order to 'do the right thing'.

select text with a mouse, ctrl+b b, and try to paste the selected text in the terminal or another terminal (within the same rxvt window) fails.
