The README uses a very old version of nvm. Should we update it?

I love Mosh and have been trying to install it on CAEN for years. Progress so far:

1. Install Protobuf.

   • Download/unzip/cd into the tarball
   • ./configure --prefix=/path/to/my/prefix
   • make && make check && make install

2. Install mosh-server.

   • Download/unzip/cd into the tarball
   • PATH="/path/to/my/prefix/bin:$PATH" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="$PKG_CONFIG_PATH:/path/to/my/prefix/lib/pkgconfig" ./configure --prefix=/path/to/my/prefix
   • make && make install

3. Make a "fake" mosh server that adds the right prefix to LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

   #!/usr/bin/env bash
   set -e
   
   LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/path/to/prefix/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" /path/to/prefix/bin/mosh-server
   

4. When using the Mosh client, connect to the "fake" mosh server you set up.

   • mosh --server=/path/to/fake/mosh-server [email protected]

This almost works but I don't think CAEN lets you expose the port 😢. Gives me this error:

mosh did not make a successful connection to 141.213.74.55:60002.
Please verify that UDP port 60002 is not firewalled and can reach the server.

(By default, mosh uses a UDP port between 60000 and 61000. The -p option
selects a specific UDP port number.)
