I'm a full-stack developer with experience in multiple languages, from JS/TS to Dart and Java, I love creating experiences that make people's lives easier. From solving a small nudge to helping people find themselves I am excited to design, code and iterate on ideas that will solve a need.

Hi @aguilaair I see you are doing some good work here. Seems a lot of the goals and improvements are overlapping to the roadmap that I have. If you want to contribute closely to sidekick let me know, I just opened all to maintainers on fvm.

Better Installation Experience

I'd like to improve the installing experience for all platforms. We already have an MSIX package, which is a fairly decent experience for Windows if it weren't for the test certificate. However, I think we should prioritize MacOS and Linux as they do not have anything at all.

For MacOS we would need to create a notarized and signed DMG.

Linux should be relatively easy, maybe we could even release it into the SnapStore

Null safety

null-safety compatible versions do not exist for:

• filesize -> No development for more than a year, has to be forked and developed

Open in VSCode wo/ using shell

With version 0.5.0 opening in VSCode causes a shell/command window to be opened, this is distracting and not very nice. This shell allows Companion to access the PATH, launching VSCode by running the code command.

This issue will address the issue and stop the necessity of opening code via the shell.

MacOS: FVM management issues on Release

Release version is having issues as projects do not load, whilst debug is working completely fine.

Hive loading up multiple instances
