i too am having this issue. Used to be able to launch and play from GOG, haven't changed anything else tho I guess GOG has updated at some point. I can see all the roms but cannot play them.

    self.cfg["DEFAULT"]["roms_path"] = "D:/Games/PS2"
    self.cfg["DEFAULT"]["emu_path"] = "D:/Program Files (x86)/PCSX2 1.6.0/pcsx2.exe"
    self.cfg["DEFAULT"]["config_path"] = "C:/Documents/PCSX2/configs"
