yii2-device-detect

Yii2 extension for Mobile-Detect library.

To use it just require this extension in your composer.json file:

"alexandernst/yii2-device-detect": "0.0.12",

And then add it to your components configuration in Yii2:

'bootstrap' => ['devicedetect'],
'components' => [
	'devicedetect' => [
		'class' => 'alexandernst\devicedetect\DeviceDetect'
	],
]

Some basic detections are available in Yii's params:

var_dump(Yii::$app->params['devicedetect']);

array (size=3)
  'isMobile' => boolean false
  'isTablet' => boolean false
  'isDesktop' => boolean true

You can also use it from anywhere in your code, calling Mobile-Detect's API:

/*Detect a mobile device*/
\Yii::$app->devicedetect->isMobile();

/*Detect a tablet device*/
\Yii::$app->devicedetect->isTablet();

/*Check all available methods here: http://demo.mobiledetect.net/ */

Or using the an alias:

\Yii::getAlias('@device'); //return 'mobile', 'tablet' or 'desktop'.

yii2-device-detect's Issues

Mobile & Tablet

Библиотека распознавания иногда отдает isMobile=true и isTablet=true
Соответственно дальше ломается логика

ну и установка алиаса тоже нужно брать уже из определенного ранее Yii::$app->params['devicedetect'], а не рассчитывать заново, причем по иным чем раньше условиям

GNU License

Hi!
Was the choice of a more restrictive license than that of the original library a conscious decision or is it just negligence? Because I will not use/contribute to a GNU licensed extension, but would in case of MIT (like original library).

Bad "if"

I think, here is bug: https://github.com/alexandernst/yii2-device-detect/blob/master/DeviceDetect.php#L37

This "if" has no braces. It does not look right.

Mobile & Tablet

iPad 2
Yii::$app->devicedetect->isMobile() = true
Yii::$app->devicedetect->isTablet() = trure

Планшет iPad 2 определяет как мобильный так и как планшет

Не определяет планшет

В хроме в режиме мобильника или ПК определяет правильно. Но в режиме планшета он пишет все варианты false. Хотя расширение https://github.com/serbanghita/Mobile-Detect определяет все верно и планшет в том числе?
