This repository was originally created to win an argument on Twitter the revolved around whether accounting for diverse gender identities is difficult. I've since resolved that it does not account enough for non-binary identities and miscategorises a large number of people. Instead the real solution to including gender fields in forms is to question whether such a blunt force tool is actually required to categorise users.
