The ruby-usb module segfaults when a handle is lost and you write to it.
Current workaround is to catch the error. We then are able to reobtain the 
handle when you plug 
the device back in, but the device then seems dead.
Upon exiting the test-loop example by aborting, the application then still 
segfaults.
Appearantly there currently is no way to clear the usb device and to wait to 
reobtain it once it is 
back.

This prevents us from shutting down the ambx device, and reopening it. Only 
workaround now: do 
not disable the device before quitting the application.
