Emoji hook re-rendering?

@alexgaribay We chatted about our little mounted/updated hooks addition to turn colon style emoji text () into an actual 😄 -- the issue that we saw was that every time a new message was sent, there was a flash where the page showed the untransformed text () on all previous messages. My question was about how this works or what is happening under the hood, and if it represents a problem or not for more significant JS hooks.

Note: I believe this was after we optimized the messages sent so it was only the latest message as opposed to the entire message history— but I'm not certain.

Let me know!
