Great module -works so far but the ding.wave definend in snowboydecoder.py isnt triggered

Turn the screen on/off

Hi there,

Snowboy is installed, the voice model is created. I'd like to turn the screen on and off via the HDMI port.
What command should I use for it? Also, where do I need to place the command in node_helper.js?

Hy guys!
First of all, I love the MagicMirror and all his awsome Modules. Also the nice and big comunity!
But I have some troubles with the voicecontroll module. I realy want to use this one.

So here is my problem:

I want to use an USB headset for testing the voicecontroll. but i dont get it, the audio works fine if I watch movies on youtube but i think i have some troubles with the mic. Im a newbie so it would be nice if you could help me!

i could record and play back my voice, so the microphone is correctlyconfigured

Module mybe doesn't start

Hey everyone,
I have a problem using this module. For me it seems, that it doesn't start. I put the "demo" code + 1 sewlfmade model to my config.js, but I don't see any log e.g. starting voicecontrol module or anything comparable (like in dirtymirror's Issue) .

I cloned the module (is in mirrordir/modules/voicecontrol) and installed the python-pyaudio python3-pyaudio sox too.

Shouldn't the module appear on the mirror and show the defined keywords / descriptions? What am I doing wrong?

How to configure the mic?

My mic is working perfectly, trained file is downloaded and placed inside MM root, but nothing happens. I guess that this module is not picking the right audio input. How can we specify which audio-id should be used? Mine is id 1, 0 is the headphone jack.

Looks like you're not really responding to github issues, but I have hope you do, as MMM-Voice doesn't work pretty well,, but at least it is detecting the mic.

Provide examples

The commands that are shown to add into the config file are "play music" and "stop music" however these commands don't match up with the ones in the voicecontrol.js file ("show camera", etc.).

Is it possible to provide a step-by-step guide on how to properly setup the commands?
For example on the play music commands, there isn't any corresponding module mentioned in the docs to pair these with. Can you advise on one that would work?

Also if I were to customize my own commands, can you provide a step-by-step guide on that?
For example how to setup the commands in the voicecontrol.js file and how to add the receiving end for the module into the module code.

Really want to add a voice control interface to this Magic Mirror so any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!

Need Help Troubleshooting

Hi, I just installed this module and wanted to combine it with gismo2006's Webradio Module
So i created the Hotwords and put it in the root dir of my Mirror.
So far so good, but if I start the mirror, both modules (voice and radio) appear on my mirror, but it doesn't react and I get a lot of error messages.
Can anybody help me?
Do I need additional Software / Modules? (pyaudio is installed)

Running on amd64 machines.

I was having issues running MM, camera, and voicecontrol on the raspberry pi 3.
Installed ubuntu 20.04 on a HP mini (amd64) machine.
I had a few issues with the voice control with it being 32 bit.
Downloaded the ubuntu 64bit files for snowboy here: http://docs.kitt.ai/snowboy/#downloads
and replaced the ones in MagicMirror/modules/voicecontrol/snowboy.

Confirmed working correctly.
