The 'latest version' points to version 2014.9.20, when it should be version 1.3.

Set default extension.
Better to be set in settings.py, With a variable such as DEFAULT_MARKWHAT_EXTENSIONS.
And should be provided in list.

Instance:

Hey @nikolas, do you know how we can disable one of these ? they both send upgrade pull requests that are good but I don't remember activating them and now both of them send pull requests at the same time.

In the textile template tag, you should call smart_unicode() instead of smart_str()
