Overview

Installing the theme

Paper is available in Micro.blog's Plug-ins directory and can directly be installed from there. Note that the theme is compatible with Hugo 0.91 which is available as a setting on Micro.blog. You can follow the below general steps to install the theme.

Uninstall any theme that you have installed as a plugin.
Set you current theme to blank and Hugo Version to 0.91 in the design section of your blog.
Make sure there are no other conflicting custom CSS configured for the previous theme.
Install the "Paper theme" plug-in from the directory.
Once the theme is successfully installed, you can configure the social icons displayed in the header by modifying the available options as plug-in's settings.
Additionally, you can also configure parameter to display full post content on homepage or not to display categories on archive page.

Links in Content

Hey there, I’m new to Micro.Blog and really love this theme but am having some trouble modifying it for my needs and was wondering if you could help.

I’m trying to do two things:

Show full content in the list view.
This seems easy. In list.html I added a custom theme and edited { .Summary | truncate 200 } to { .Content}. This worked but if there were any links embedded in the content it’ll appear randomly above the title.
Allow links in content in list view.
Partially related to issue 1. I’d like to have clickable links within my content in the list view. Right now the entire content is just a link to the post. Any way to get this working?

Time with date on main page and single posts

Quick question: Is there a way to add a time stamp (24 hours format would be awesome, but 12 will work as well) to the date stamp on the main page and individual post pages?

I've tried going through the code, but am way over my head on this one.

Menu clips/hidden if wider than screen

The navigation menu clips/is hidden if there are too many links in it to fit on a screen. See comparison in images between Desktop and Mobile.

Include "<link>" element in header for autodiscovery

MarsEdit failed to automatically detect my micro.blog settings until I added the following to the <head> element in the template:

<link rel="EditURI" type="application/rsd+xml" href="{{ "rsd.xml" | absURL }}" />

I wonder if this could be added to the "head.html" partial?

Hello Amit, I like your theme a lot. Thank you! The thing is: On my homepage the links from the entries to the articles do not work. I do use some custom.css, but I didn't change the partials. I don't know what your theme broke (probably me :-/ ). Any idea?
