salt-psu's Introduction

Install salt

Download latest macos salt package here.

configure

Clone the repo then.

$ cd salt-psu

copy minion file

$ cp minion /etc/salt/minion

make /srv directory

$ sudo mkdir -p /opt/srv
$ sudo cp -R srv/ /opt/srv/
$ sudo launchctl stop com.saltstack.salt.minion
$ sudo launchctl start com.saltstack.salt.minion

run some states

sudo salt-call state.apply states/files/file-example
sudo salt-call state.highstate

The logging level can be changed in the /etc/salt/minion

Logs can be viewed at /var/log/salt/minion
