notepad's Issues

Dismiss About dialog on pressing `Esc`

Currently, if the "About" dialog is opened and if you press the Esc key, nothing will happen.

Intended action should be to close the dialog.

Share note

Hi,

Would it be possible to share a note without requiring server storage? I was thinking about passing the note contents in the url such that it can be loaded into the javascript. Is this already a feature or would it be easy to implement?

Hi,
In first I want to thank you for this app, it's usefull !
Maybe you can change the readme because your application can now be use in chrome browser with the latest release 70.
I test it on w10/chrome it's works perfectly like on Android.

command-S not supported

The intro says to save with Crtl-S and Command-S but I'm on a Mac and Command-S didn't save. Appears to be missing from the code:

PWA Icon on iOS Missing

Congrats on this great app!

I added it on my homescreen using Safari iOS on my iPhone, it shows the webpage screenshot as an app icon.

You should have an "apple-touch-icon.png" (196x196px or 180x180px) in order to get it working properly.

Request to add word and character count

Hello, i work in a social media agency, and content writing, i make alot of use of a notepad that is usable on my browser, i wish https://notepad.js.org can have a word and character counter, so it helps me when writing content for limited text boxes like twitter, or when i have a certain amount of words i want to reach.

Add Plugin Support

Add the ability to add/remove plugins like voice recognition, chatgpt interface, github interface, and etc. that can be configured to be loaded only if used.

Red button isn't the destructive action in delete dialog

Red buttons are normally reserved for destructive actions. That makes this confusing, and potentially someone could lose data because of this. Imagine someone accidentally clicks the trash button, reads the question, says no no no, and quickly clicks the not-red button.

Also, the "Yes, delete it!" doesn't match the question, which asks about a plural noun, and the "Yes" and "it" just add noise that make it less scan-able, i.e. less likely someone's going to actually read the button. So I would recommend saying just "Delete"
