There is a way to recursively request unlimited contacts.

Current Behaviour

Given a calendar newly created by the happy-birthday application, when you create a calendar all-day event notification, then these notifications propagate to the events.
Given a calendar with calendar all-day event notifications, when you run the happy-birthday application, then the notifications on the events disappear.
Given a calendar updated by the happy-birthday application, when you create/delete/edit a calendar all-day event notification, then these notifications do not propagate to the events.

Notes

• As of today there is no way to edit calendar all-day event notifications with the Google API, although a bug has been opened for it here: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/36761408
• Therefore, it is up to user to go to Google Calendar and manually set the calendar all-day event notifications for the events in the Settings.
• Ideally, the happy-birthday application could update a calendar by simply deleting the old events on a calendar and replacing them with new ones.
• However, since the user can't edit calendar all-day event notifications for events after a calendar has been updated by the happy-birthday application, the happy-birthday application has to delete the old calendar and replace it with a new one.
