open-source-video-previewer's Issues
External voltage source: 5 or 12 V?
PCI-E
Should we include pci-e connector or not?
Components source
Is there any source/seller (TME?), from where we should use components?
Design a baseboard for RPi CM4
Design a baseboard for RPi CM4. Use Kicad: https://kicad.org/
The purpose of this task is to design a baseboard for the RPi CM4 (https://botland.com.pl/pl/raspberry-pi-cm/18179-raspberry-pi-cm4-compute-module-4-1gb-ram-8gb-emmc.html).
Base the design on the Jetson Nano baseboard released by Antmicro: https://github.com/antmicro/jetson-nano-baseboard
Note that this baseboard was designed in Altium Designer, therefore it cannot simply be modified. Feel free to base your design on it, but use Kicad instead.
Subtasks to do first:
After that initial work, start designing the board for the RPi CM4 module.
Keep the same form factor as the Jetson baseboard if possible.
Do not hesitate to ask questions and discuss the design here.
Review the connectors on the Jetson Nano baseboard
Verify that the external connectors used on the baseboard for Jetson Nano (https://github.com/antmicro/jetson-nano-baseboard) can be used with RPi CM4, if some of them make no sense (e.g. RPi does not have any peripherals that can utilize them), look for peripherals that RPi does offer and suggest other connectors.
SD card slot
Is removing SD card slot acceptable? It restricts usage to modules with integrated memory.
Add initial README file
Describe the goal of the project.
The README will need to be kept up to date as the project progresses.
Board size
Could it be the same as board with jetson nano (if technically possible to fit all elements)? Are there any size restrictions/recommendations?
Find/design schematics and part models for RPi CM4 module
The purpose of this task is to find or design appropriate kicad library with the modules connectors that CM4 is equipped with.
Please note that we are likely to want to generate 3d previews for this board in the future, so the 3d models would be a nice addition too (either for the connectors alone or the CM4 module as a whole).
GPIO RPi CM4
What should we plan to do with rpi's gpio pins, which aren't present in Jetson Nano
