When people mention google.com or www.google.com (#82 or #92), they are talking about the same exact website and so i think combining counts for both of them makes sense. You can rename the entry to "google.com or www.google.com"
seems to be matching on the edu
substring which has some false positives:

I see you have domains by median, and submitters by h-index. Why not domains by h-index? :-).
I imagine the list will be dominated by news sites like techcrunch and the NYC, shared hosting platforms like medium and tumblr, and community sites like wikipedia and github, but I'd still be curious to see what the results are if it's easy for you to run the query.
The URLs on position 13 and 15 of "Most mentioned links in Hacker News comments" are obvious spams
