We should define the behavior and include this feature in the next major release of gavel-spec
.
I wonder, would a simpleβ’ RegExp be sufficient enough to validate the URI?
from gavel-spec.
I'd say the request UR(I|L) consists of:
- protocol, host, port ... not relevant in this case
- path ... can be compared 1:1 as a string
- query ... ordering etc. all matters, so can be compared 1:1 as a string
- fragment ... not relevant for APIs I'd say, that's a browser thingI only wonder whether case-(in)sensitivity is a thing here.
I believe domains are insensitive, but the path and query usually IS case-sensitive IIRC, so that leads us to 1:1 comparison again.
