apsimonr's Issues

simple_run_example.R

Hi Drew,

thany you for your great package. But with APSIM2020.09.09.5640 there seem to be problems:

I get an error:

"System.Exception: Error in report DailyReport: Invalid report variables found:"
"Wheat.Phenology.HaunStage"

And when I delete Wheat.Phenology.HaunStage from the DailyReport I get "While locating model VPD: VPD is not a child of XValue"

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards
Christof

There was an error when I ran apsimonr

Hi Drew,
IT'S Wrong when I run ApsimOnR

Packrat is not installed in the local library -- attempting to bootstrap an installation...

No source tarball of packrat available locally
Using user-library packrat (0.6.0.1) to bootstrap this project
Packrat mode on. Using library in directory:

  • "D:/R_package/ApsimOnR-master/packrat/lib"
Error in loadNamespace(name) : there is no package called ‘yaml’

Path arguments on Windows

When running CroptimizR on Windows 10 with a local R installation I run into the following error:

Could not execute because the specified command or file was not found.
Possible reasons for this include:
  * You misspelled a built-in dotnet command.
  * You intended to execute a .NET Core program, but dotnet-C:/Program does not exist.
  * You intended to run a global tool, but a dotnet-prefixed executable with this name could not be found on the PATH.
Error in apsimx_wrapper(model_options = model_options) :
C:/Program Files/APSIM2022.5.7042.0/bin/Models.dll is not executable or is not a apsimx executable !
In addition: Warning message:
In system(cmd, wait = TRUE, intern = TRUE) :
  running command 'dotnet C:/Program Files/APSIM2022.5.7042.0/bin/Models.dll /Version' had status 1
Execution halted

I think this might be due to the path being passed to system() being interpreted as multiple arguments when it contains spaces. Running the command dotnet "C:/Program Files/APSIM2022.5.7042.0/bin/Models.dll" /Version produces the expected output.

auto-generate param_values?

Hi, @hol430

I assume that we still need to provide the param_values as input to have the config_file by a glance of the change_apsimx_param.R fun.
https://github.com/hol430/ApsimOnR/blob/480cb842c3d8273c26f806563639ef1c4d991b2c/R/change_apsimx_param.R#L19

wondering if there is a way the APSIMNG can output all the parameters inside the JSON file with their APSIM address ([Lucerne].Grain.Live.N)?

Or the French developers have already established the workflow to do this job but in a separate repo?

thank you
