Hi there. I successfully installed your special broadcom build of chromium and got my wifi working. I am using an acer aspire one. I did not know there was no built in mp3 or flash playback that comes straight with chromium os. I tried a few "fixes" I have found online and all I have managed to do is stop getting an error when I try to load an mp3. Now when I try to start mp3 playback the little player pops up on the bottom left corner but I get nothing. as for flash most sites say it isn't working but right-clicking on a youtube video produces "About flash" rather than "About HTML 5" so I am not sure what is going on with that. These things are not a deal breaker for me as chromium actually runs better than even Lubuntu was, but if I can get a fix for them that would so much nicer.
Review Kernel configs
themacmeister reported:
Having serious issues with built-in webcam (USB), wondering if it were possible for a new special build to compile the following into the kernel:
CONFIG_VIDEO_DEV=y
CONFIG_VIDEO_V4L2_COMMON=y
CONFIG_VIDEO_MEDIA=y
CONFIG_USB_VIDEO_CLASS=y
CONFIG_V4L_USB_DRIVERS=y
CONFIG_USB_VIDEO_CLASS_INPUT_EVDEV=y
Hello, I am currently using a Dell Latitude E4300, and the Broadcom support still doesn't work. For example, trying to connect to a network says its a bad connection or disconnected or something like that. Please Fix!
I get an error “trying to get vblank count for empty pipe 0”. The boot process stops there and hangs.
For some reason chromium shows wifi off, yet it shows wlan0. Tried insmoding and attempting but failing to do a dmesg | less to go through the output to see the issue. Wifi is enabled in the bios > always on.
I’ve noticed zd1211 is no longer supported? (Not that I could get that to work anyway)
Kernel Panic with
EIP [<8a2b165b>] intel_parse_bios+0x632x1064 SS:0068:be83bd38
Kernel panic – not syncing? Attempted to kill init! exit code=0x00000009
The special builds work great on our Latitude 2110s and we would otherwise roll them out to our fleet of netbooks but we would need them to use a hidden SSID and every special build I have used breaks the wireless.
No controller found
Incomplete mode parameter data
assuming drive cache: write through

Touchpad: Synaptics (According to windows)
Wireless: RTL8723BE
Results: When using the daily builds, EVERYTHING works (except wireless)
When using the special builds, Wireless works! — but touchpad no longer works… Tried the above steps, but it still isn’t recognized.

Blog member asked: I am wondering what the deal is with enterprise enrollment on your Chromium builds. Will I be able to manage your devices in a Google Apps domain if I enroll them by pressing Ctrl + Alt + E during first login? The input command does in fact bring up enterprise enrollment, but I’m hesitant to use chrome licenses without knowing what you have to say about this particular approach. I’m interested in provisioning settings and apps and such for users from afar using the Chrome Device Management console.
This machine has a broadcom network adapter and a QualComm Atheros wireless card (PCI).
Running and installing from USB works fine, everything works including web-cam, sound and so on. But then it tells me te reboot because of some updates. Then it happens . . . . no more wifi.
So when I startup with a fresh install, wifi works fine. After the update wifi works strange.
When I startup after the update, wifi shows that is is not enabled. When I connect a lan cable, I get network connectivity and I can work. When I unplug the network cable . . . up comes the wifi networks and I can use a wifi connection.
Before Sep 14 , 2015 . I can’t use your daily or weekly build version , because my rtl8723be wireless network-card don’t work in it . Only your special build version (such as “Camd64OS_R46-7323.0-Special”) let my rtl8723be work well .
But now , i lost my last hope :) because my rtl8723be don’t work in your latest special build version that “Camd64OS_R47-7451.0-Special” .
When i type “lsmod | grep rtl8723be” , i get :
rtl8723be 65326 0
btcoexist 35588 1 rtl8723be
rtl8723_common 17963 1 rtl8723be
rtl_pci 24808 1 rtl8723be
rtlwifi 52809 2 rtl_pci,rtl8723be
mac80211 425170 3 rtl_pci,rtlwifi,rtl8723be
We can see the module is already loaded , maybe has some change in the latest special build version that make any problem .

I have a Samsung NC110 and have made a USB stick using your instructions .
When I try to use it to boot the OS it only gets to the first screen -Language etc .
Because there is No Network available it stalls
.The only option I have is to do a hard shutdown .
Any ideas – The WiFi is an Intel Centrino Wireless N-130 which works OK on Linux Lite and Win7

dell inspiron 15 3000 series laptop and there is a problem with mouse/touchpad. Keyboard and wifi (default Qualcomm Atheros) works fine but there is no touchpad.
But I also tested the daily built Aug-22-2015, in which the touchpad and keyboard works but not the default wifi. (My external wifi adapter “alpha network” works fine though.)
Don't know how to find the log, but it's impossible to run android apps, stuck at logo.

Also there was a message during start up (http://pastebin.com/xZHG67Er)
Tried to copy drivers downloaded from Realtek site http://goo.gl/EtA5L (for kernel 2.6.24 (and later))
‘rtlwifi’ folder into ‘/lib/firmware’ (rtl8192cfw.bin included)
This time Wirless controller is available, but doesn’t scan networks.
