Feature request: center group content

what I am missing so often is a quick way to center group content depending on the lowest layer in the group. Or a layer called “bg” or “BG”

The command could go into: ARRANGE / center group content

[BUG] select parent group(s) doesn't work on multiple selection

Right now, it only selects one the parents, like this:

• Select parent group should select all the parents of multiple selection.
• If your selection contains a child of the other one, you need to select the highest parent.

• undo only affect each paste and replace operation, one at a time, making it very costly to make a mistake

The paste and replace should be registered as a single batch of actions, so that only one "undo" is enough to go back

To select the parents on multiple selections. Currently, ESC only selects a random parent.

Bug: select children doesn't select children of multiple selection

When selecting 2+ groups, select children should select children of both groups. Right now it only selects the children of one of the groups.

"Remove Redundant Groups" doesn't seem to be working

Feature Request: Rearrange Artboard

This would be useful when we can rearrange artboard based on names, size, or date created.
Would be useful for organizing symbol page

show info of how many removed or changed after the action

after deleting e.g. hidden layers it would be nice to get some kind of feedback ... a little tooltip at the bottom ... native sketch style would be nice ... saying “213 layers removed”

I wanna try to write plugin to upload my symbol to my server. I search a lot, but api document is quite less.

Question: "Symbol>Sync Symbol Master from Sketch File" Usage

The plug-in is excellent -- thank you!

"Symbol>Sync Symbol Master from Sketch File" is not working as I would expect. I'm not sure what the intended behavior is. Is it like this:

1. Select a symbol (Symbol X) in File A
2. Use "Symbol>Sync Symbol Master from Sketch File"; choose File B which also contains a symbol with the same symbol name (e.g. "Symbol X")
3. Symbol X in File A will now be updated to match Symbol X from File B

I've tried this, but it doesn't work. The originally selected symbol is removed from File A. Are there any requirements for symbol names in order for this to work properly?

“paste and replace” symbol (not existing in a document) fails

“Symbol master “symbol name” can't found in current document.”
... this message shows up when you try to replace from one to another document.

Expected result: it would just replace and place masters into the new document. Please can you fix?

Feature Request: Clean up Paparazzi PDF

I have a request, probably an odd one, to automate the cleanup of PDFs output from the Paparazzi web capture tool. The reason is because it's tedious by hand and seems like it should be automate-able.

Steps to automate:

1. Find all groups with "Group" in the name and ungroup them
2. Find all layers that have "Clip" in the name and delete them
3. Find all text layers and move them 2px down
4. Create an artboard that matches the height and width of the document contents

Is that possible? I do this every time I need to work off of an existing web page and I currently do a lot of that.

Bug: Paste and Replace pastes doesn't paste into the selected artboard anymore

When I execute paste and replace it doesnt paste into the selected artboard anymore. The position is correct, but not the location.

Also, can you update the functionality to be able to copy and paste from the global clipboard and not just from within Sketch?

I sometimes edit an image in Pixelmator or Photoshop and have to paste it in Sketch before I'm able to Paste and Replace.

Feature Request: Remove all redundant groups

Not sure if this is the right way to call it, but what I mean is to delete all nested groups which are unnecessary.
See example:

Automate + Runner crash

I had troubles with Runner crashing Sketch when activating the visor. The people at Runner recommended me to disable all other plugins and activate them one by one to see if another plugin was the culprit. When I activated Automate, Sketch started crashing again when activating Runner.

Dunno where the issue lies (Sketch, Runner, Automate or otherwise), but I thought it worthwhile reporting an issue here as well.

Feature Request: Select all instances of a symbol on a page and rename

I'd love to see a command that would rename all instances of a selected symbol by page or document but not automatically name it to the master symbol, but a custom one.

Example use:

• Symbol name (in symbols page) is "Native App / Header / Search (Purple)"
• That symbol is used 100 times across the Sketch file
• In Page A - I'd like to select all the "Native App / header / Search (Purple)" symbols and give them a simple name like "app-header" on all symbol instances on that page.
• You could also apply "app-header" to ALL symbol instances in the entire document

Like the title says. I'm not sure it is technically possible to keep the overrides, but would save a lot of time :)

Missing plugin menu items in Runner

Hello,

It looks some features of Automate Sketch don't show up in Runner's "run" tab.
For example: Plugins -> Automate -> Symbol -> Rename Instances

Here is the result of typing "rename instances" in runner:

[improvement] keep selection after "Paste and Replace"

• select multiple layers

• only the last replaced layer is selected

All the replaced layers should be selected after the operation to move/resize them at the same time.

Feature Request: Order Layers by Kind

Find myself sorting through my list of layers and would be nice to automate the ordering by type (Symbol, Folder, Text, Shape, etc.) similar to macOS:

Feature Request: Resize Height of Textfield to Fit

When a textfield is set to "fixed" mode its height follows whatever is the content of the textfield. However once you change the height of the textfield manually it stays like that disregarding of what is its content and there is currently no way to get back the previous behaviour. I guess this came with Sketch 45 or 46.

Is there any way to reset the height of a textfield to fit its content via script?

"Remove unused symbols" feature doesn't work

Sketch 49 incompatibility

Several features are broken in sketch 49. Confirmed ones are Library-->imported symbols manage and library-->fix library incompatibility. Both of them just fail silently. I suspect there are problems with launching popups/dialogs

Feature Request: Rearrange groups.

Imagine a magic action that rearranging the layers tree of an artboard automatically.
For example - few layers that on top of one another will be grouped together, for example - I got my header rectangle and some labels on top of it, the plugin "understand" they are together and group them automatically, then continue to the next layers and locate them accordingly in a way that makes sense. Need to put some effort to build the right logic of how it really works (will love to brainstorm it with you).

Not seeing menu option to Change symbols to Library Symbol

Thanks for the contribution.

On the readme, I saw the item "Change symbols to Library Symbol", described as "Change the selected/all symbols to library symbol base on symbol ID.". This sounds like what I want to do in order to resolve this problem.

But I'm not seeing this as an option from within the Sketch (version 47.1) menu. Here's what I see:

Fix to Parent Width + Height (without margins)

Hi, Your plugin is PERFECT!
if the fix to parent will have another option to fix ti width AND height together it will be super helpful! and in that case it could be even better without the margins, just to create objects and instantly make them the "background" of an group or artboard.

[feature request]

select library symbol instances (not local ones)

Hey man, thanks a lot for the effort here! I've a request if possible.

My team is working on a library file and that library is shared on Plant. The rest of the team create their own .sketch files and import symbols from that library. The problem is that sometimes, we loose the link between that symbols and the library. I guess that when there is an update on the library, it may change the ID or we may have some ID problem of some sort. Can you add a way to:
1- check current document ID
2- change current document ID
3- check imported library ID (and change it too)

Add "Repeat Action"

Hi there, to reproduce: create a stacked group, then just replace one of the elements ... if I use the “replace layer” from Sketch Mate - it does how it should be ... can you please fix? because I really want to use your “replace” as it's better

Feature Requests

1. Rearrange artboards (I think there is a plugin for this but it's not that good)
2. Killer feature - Regroup artborad - For rearranging layers by their position, if they share the same x-y-axis they are grouped (for example).
