askadev.org's Issues

Date Formatting

The home page lists events in an American format which is confusing to the rest of the world.

Suggested to use month names instead of short-hand dates.

Melbourne event is setup for the 04.03.18 Australians read this date as 4th of March 2018, but the actual date is 3rd of April 2018.

Suggesting that we format the dates as 03.APR.2018 or something more universal.

Timezone Bug

An event was created for 04-04-2018 18-20h.

On the homepage it's showing up at 04.03.18 18-20h on the admin page it's showing up as 04.04.2018 04:00.

Several different times none of which are correct.

Add repeating events

When adding a new event, options should allow to repeat from one of the following parameters:

  • every week
  • every other week
  • every month

An end date for "Stops Repeating" is also ideal, but honestly, let's just set a hard code for three months after the first meetup for now.

Edit existing events

Current workflow requires deleting an event and then re-adding it in order to edit it. This is unideal.

Separate Events by region

It would be easier if the list of events was separated by geographical region (probably not enough events yet to do by country). This would help people find events more quickly.
