Private and public chat based on WebSocket & node.js

This project is created based on WebSocket. At the server, node.js and ws module are used. At the client, WebSocket web api is used (browser based). That is maintained using Vanilla JS.

How to clone?

• Open terminal and run.
• git clone https://github.com/sumanchalki/websocket-private-public-chat.git {dirname}
• cd {dirname}

How to run it?

• Open a terminal and navigate to the directory.
• npm install
• node server
• Open http://localhost:3000/ in different browser windows.
• Alternatively open the index.html file directly in browser.
• Start chatting.
