kuaizi's Issues

Objects are off-centered in the cutout

  1. NOTICE: lots of objects are not at the center of cutout... need to deal with this issue.
  2. NOTICE: for some galaxies, lsstpipe cannot generate a PSF! Write exception for galaxies lacking PSF.

Tiger and Tigress

Run the code under /tiger/scratch/gpfs, move files to /tigress afterwards

Bright galaxies

My existing pipeline deals with LSBGs very well. However, there are a ton of very bright galaxies in the Candy Sample, ~20 of them has i-mag < 16. My current thoughts are:

  • For i-mag < thresh and/or r-mag < thresh: don't limit the box size, just use the box size estimated with starlet_thresh=-0.3.
  • For these galaxies, don't add compact sources into modeling. Only model itself (as starlet object) and large objects (as single/multiple-extended sources).
